What makes a show Snark Worthy?    For a show to be Snark Worthy the most important trait it has to have is it has to take itself too seriously. That's why dating shows tend to be the most Snark Worthy, the entire show is ridiculous from the premise up yet the people involved are taking it so seriously, almost as if they believe the marketing hype.    Next the show has to involve a lot of personal interaction. For the most part my Screen-Caps involve putting the words into the participant's months that they're really thinking (or should be thinking). If the majority of the show is about a competition of some sort then there isn't much there to work with. Dating shows do well here because they mostly involve people hanging around discussing things and trying to get to know each other.    The last criteria is the hardest to qualify, basically I have to like the show. In order to Screen-Cap a show I have to watch it, then watch it again (often rewinding over various parts numerous times) while making the Screen-Caps. If I don't like the show I'm not going to put myself through that every week.    How do you get pictures from the TV?    I installed a special PCI card in my computer commonly called a video capture or TV Tuner card. Specifically It's a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350. After installing the card in my PC, connecting my cable-vision cable to the card and installing the software I'm able to record TV shows onto my hard drive and watch them back later. Basically I turned my thousand dollar PC into a fifty dollar VCR. While watching a show the included software has a function to take still images.    Why are there no screen-caps for the last episodes of For Love or Money or The Bachelor season 6?    Unfortunately I screwed up and erased the last episode of For Love or Money off my system before I got any screen-caps made and the last episode of The Bachelor was just too boring. I kept putting off the odious task until it was so late it wasn't worth doing.
